My Parents' 40th Wedding Anniversary Get-together
On September 13, 2008 my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.  Yup, it was on Friday the 13th, 1968 when they got married...  after meeting each other on a blind date and knowing each other only a couple of weeks!  Well, despite all odds they have stayed together and their love today is just as strong as it ever was.

Todd and I, Kristine and Joe, and Mom and Dad got together up at the
Bracken Fern Manor at Lake Arrowhead.  Yep, same place I had my bachelorette party!  We all enjoyed the locale so much we decided to go back.  The day's festivities also included a ride on the Lake Arrowhead Queen Paddleboat.  The tour guide was hilarious, pointing out all the famous people's homes that surround the beautiful lake.  Then we had dinner at El Papagayos including very yummy chili rellenos and margaritas :)  Then we retired back to the Inn for a slideshow put together by yours truly, some songs played on the guitar and sang by my sister (including an original written just for my Mom and Dad) and some cake!

On Sunday we had a great breakfast at the Inn then drove up to the
Strawberry Peak Fire Lookout.  Then we said our goodbyes and headed home.
