| I am so excited! We just learned that our friend Bob, aka 4wheelbob, made it to the top of White Mountain Peak, 14,242'! Todd and I were both up there last weekend to keep him company while he was doing some warm-up hikes and acclimating to the high elevation. Others were to join him throughout the week and Cheryl just sent out a message saying he made it! I'm so happy for him, I've been going up there for the past 3 years to help and support him and root him on... Last year I summitted myself and it wasn't an easy feat. The hike itself isn't extremely difficult but the altitude nearly got me. That's what's proved most difficult for Bob as he not only is hiking in a wheelchair but also has diabetes. But he is one of the strongest people I know so I'd knew he'd do it sooner or later :) Here's my favorite picture of him, one I took last year while we were hiking in the Patriarch Grove.
