Comanche Peak Wilderness
September 2002
In fall of 2002 I went hiking with my best friend Andrew up in the Comanche Peak Wilderness just north of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.  It was a relatively short trip, we only hiked in about 5 miles starting on the Beaver Creek Trail, but it was so peaceful.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves!  True to the name of the trail there were a ton of beaver ponds and we camped near one and saw two beavers that evening.  And the colors of autumn were absolutely breathtaking...
