Death Valley National Park, CA
On day twenty we drove to Badwater, elevation -282 feet.

"We were there at sunset, beautiful salt flats stretching forever to the blue-hued mountains, sky, and clouds.  On a nearby cliff, a ways up, a sign: 'Sea Level.'  All but a few seconds of today, when the road ventured a little higher, was spent below the level of the sea."
