| Todd and I were taking a 4wd trip out in the Cactus Flats area of the San Bernardino National Forest recently... We were boppin along when I suddenly told Todd to stop the vehicle! I had spied a California Poppy! But turns out it was a poppy-colored Desert Mariposa Lily Calochortus kennedyi! The first time I'd ever seen these magnificent flowers :) I was ecstatic...! |
