Garden of the Gods

November 28-29, 2008
While in Colorado Springs we actually went to Garden of the Gods twice, the first day we went to the visitor center and drove through with Todd's Dad and Stepmom.  Then we decided to go back the next day to hike a few of its trails.

The first day was sunny and warm, here is Todd at Balanced Rock
Of course I have to see if it'll move!
Where's Crocky?
Fun place to hike for everyone
Notice how Todd's attire changed for day two?
Notice the birds?  They're pigeons and they were beautiful as they were flying and swooping and soaring around Pulpit Rock
Finally they landed and took a break on top of Pulpit Rock
The kissing camels
This humongous plaque is rather obtrusive in my mind but does have a nice message about this area being preserved as a park that shall forever remain free to the public
Pike's Peak
After hiking around the main part of the Garden I hiked up to the Siamese Twins, which from here look like triplets
The Siamese Twins, and Pike's Peak behind
The Siamese Twins have a natural rock window that perfectly frames Pike's Peak
