| Sierra Cloaked in Clouds and the Foothills Green January 8, 2005 |
| The winter clouds are hanging dark and heavy over the Sierra, hiding her peaks from view. The foothill oaks are quiet as raindrops drip from their bare branches. Here and there in the green grass wild mustard flowers are beginning to poke through and show their blossoms. Most everyone is inside today but I am outside trodding through the wet grass and enjoying the cool air. Just a couple pictures from today, taken from Frazier Valley just a little west of Springville... It's been raining most of the day here and the mountains are getting lots and lots of snow. |
