Hwy 58 Wildflowers

After leaving Carrizo Plain I headed west along Hwy 58 towards the
coast.  Along the way I saw many vast fields of wildflowers.  This is
definitely one of the most beautiful places in the spring!  Filaree is the
name of the billions of pink flowers in the photo above.
Fiddleneck, goldfields, wild mustard, and California poppies are
featured in the next few photos.
Baby Blue Eyes, more fields of them than I have ever seen, the
sweet little individual flowers look like

These fields of shooting stars, goldfields, and popcorn flower
are the most extensive and beautiful I've ever seen!
