Mono Lake

June 1-4, 2009
Last week I had the great pleasure of spending 4 days up on the Inyo National Forest at the Mono Basin National Scenic Area.  There I attended a Wilderness Ranger Academy with about 100 other wilderness managers, rangers, and trail workers.  It was a lot of fun!  We all camped in a campground along Lee Vining Creek and during the day attended various sessions on stewardship, LNT, management issues, etc.  In the evenings we had a little bit of time to explore this gorgeous area...  When I was young growing up down the road in Bishop, I always enjoyed visiting Mono Lake and hiking around its ethereal tufa towers.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my photos :)
