2 years ago in Rocky Mountain NP I got up early and headed out to a trailhead and as I was driving along the road I saw a elk cow and calf cross the road. I pulled off the road to watch them, then got out of my truck so I could maybe get a picture. They moseyed into an incredible beautiful sunlit meadow, so I inched a little closer and was just about to get a picture when the willow nearest to me moved. Out walked a huge cow moose. She was just feet from me. So I backed up rather quickly, and she followed. She seemed more curious than anything. I had left my car door open, so I jumped in, and she was right there, almost got in with me!
