October in the Mountains
Back to Tarol's Homepage
October is a beautiful time to be in the mountains above Springville!  The weather
is generally mild and the sky blue.  The air is crisp but not too cold yet.  Many
animals like squirrels and quail are out and about gathering acorns and seeds and
otherwise preparing for winter.  And, best of all, the black oaks begin to turn to
their autumn hues and they punctuate the mixed-conifer forest with bright gold and
rust tones.
