This was my second time visiting Walden Pond near Concord, MA... the first, 6 years ago, was with Mindi and her mom and her friends Shane and Josh. But on that visit it was pouring down rain so we ran from the car to Thoreau's (reconstructed) cabin and then ran over to the visitor center/shop and then back to the car. Not much of a visit. Yesterday proved to be a much more enjoyable one. First of all the weather was perfect, almost too warm to wear a sweater. Second of all of course the fall colors were amazing. And this time we walked all the way around the pond and saw where Thoreau's cabin originally stood.
